So for the past few weeks I have been planning a surprise BBQ for Garren’s graduation. It went perfectly! As we drove up the drive way he said “Dang! How many people did my mom invite to dinner?!” (He maybe sounded a little annoyed) To which I replied, ” Oh um SURPRISE!” and then explained it was a BBQ for his graduation. We had so much fun hanging out with family and friends. Thank you to all those who came and helped!
Friday was the day Garren graduated. I was kind of emotional all day just because this year has held so much trial for us and here we were celebrating something so wonderful. Despite all we had gone through Garren was graduating (with amazing grades I might add) and we are on to the next phase of our lives. I couldn’t be prouder!

Just about to leave for Graduation :)

My Graduate :)
We had to get ONE of these :)
Sorry it’s hard to see but this is him getting his diploma! (well.. the case…)
Love this man
Literally within a couple hours of graduation we got in the car and headed down to Quail lake to camp for the weekend. We didn’t take very many pictures, and you should be glad! It was hot… and we were a mess. I didn’t grow up camping but I have since learned that the first night of camping is super romantic… the second night proves you’ll love each other through anything…. ha ha We felt pretty sweaty and gross. We went down to the lake and waded in to the water. I ended up falling in (Graceful) so Garren jumped in to make me feel better. True love. Tomorrow is our actual anniversary and since it is the “Cotton” anniversary we are going to tie-dye shirts for each other. I have never done that so I am excited. I will post about our anniversary later this week :)
We love camping
I am a genius and tried to take a picture of the stars…. Wow.
I was a little cold the first night…. I was ill prepared for the heat the next day.
This week is going to be amazing! After a lot of hard work by him (and lonely nights sitting on the couch by me) Garren is graduating with his Bachelors of Science. His major was Physical Education and Human Performance with a concentration in Exercise Science. He graduates Friday, and then we are heading to Quail Lake to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. (I will post about our 2nd year of marriage and the celebration next week) I can hardly believe that we have been married for two years, but then I think about everything that has happened, all the blessing and trials we have gone through, and amazed that that all happened in the space of ONLY two years. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband. I know we can get through anything as long as we have each other and the gospel.
Quail Lake at Sun Rise :) So excited to go this weekend.
So three weeks ago I went to my normal dental cleaning and found out that my wisdom teeth (that I had removed last June) had grown into my two lower bottom teeth and had completely ruined them so I had to have them removed and had “bone putty” into my lower jaw. It was super glamours and I am just now able to eat solid food.
Lately I have been experimenting with different hairstyles because my hair is geting long enough to do fun things! Here are some pictures from my latest fav: The Hair Bow.
Two years ago tomorrow I went through the temple for the first time. I had been given a lot of “advice” and honestly it scared me a lot. However the temple was, and is the most beautiful part of my life. The calming peace and undeniable truth lets me know exactly WHY I am here and what my purpose is.
This is from my first time through the temple with some many people I love around me.
We are officially moving in 99 days. 99 days till I lose my husband again to three more years of school ;). I am not actually keeping track but there is a countdown on my phone. It’s all very bitter sweet. I am so excited to move back East and have this adventure with Garren, but I will miss our families and friends.
Well this was my second time camping and it was SO fun! Shelby and Kali and their friend Mike and their labs Toby and Pepper came down to camp with us! We originally wanted to go camping at Red Cliffs, but by the time we got down there at 7:45 all the camp sites were taking so we continues on to Quail Lake and got a campsite there. It was gorgeous.
Kali and Shelby didn’t get down there till about 9:30 and to our dismay they close the gates! So after some… uh… finagling at the exit we manged to get them in, have a delicious dinner, and roast some marshmallows. I was really scared I was going to freeze all night but I was pleasantly surprised. I slept decently. I woke up at about 6:45 and had to pee like crazy (tmi?) so I walked out of the tent, with every intention of going back to sleep, until I saw this:
So I sat and watched the sunrise and made my very first solo fire :)
Eventually every one woke up and we decided to take the dogs down to the water and throw the ball for them, then we packed up and went back over to red cliffs to go hiking! :)
I went to take this picture, and they both made the same creepy face. Ha ha

Part of beautiful hike!
The hike was amazing, and I am so glad I got to hang out with good friends and my amazing husband! OH! We also ran into my brother on the hike…. and he was holding hands with a girl! Oooh La la! :P
Tonight we are going to see this:
with Carlee and Trevor… and possibly Dillon and DaNae. SO EXCITED. Right now? I need a nap.
P.S. Pepe is a stud. Totally wasted on the freeway :)
